Healing Adventures founder Graciella Rossi, an active wilderness guide for sixteen years, was diagnosed with a rare cancer in 1990. To aid her recovery after chemotherapy, she participated in a variety of therapeutic programs fostering psychological and spiritual growth. She realized that nature can be an additional valuable source of support and healing after feeling her spirit reawaken when she first got back in a kayak. She established Healing Adventures with her husband Rick Spittler, to bring the stimulation, inspiration and nurturing powers of the outdoors to those challenging cancer and other illnesses. Both Rick and Graciella have twenty years experience in designing and leading outdoor adventures for people with special needs.
